Zimbabwe will play Ireland in a T20 series at home from December 7. Here’s everything you need to know about the squad for the ZIM vs IRE series, including full team lists of both teams.

The hosts have named wholesale changes after failing to make the T20 World Cup 2024 due to their humiliating losses to Namibia and Uganda in the Africa Region Qualifier. Middle-order batter Brian Bennett and pacer Trevor Gwandu have earned their maiden call-ups.

While wrist-spinner Brandon Mavuta and batter Tony Munyonga have earned recalls, fast-bowler Tendai Chatara, and left-arm spinner Wellington Masakadza have been axed along with openers Innocent Kaia and Nick Welch.

Craig Ervine, sidelined after playing the first game in the regional qualifier because of a groin injury, has also returned to the 15-member squad and will feature alongside veterans Sean Williams, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani, Ryan Burl and skipper Sikandar Raza.

For Ireland, wicketkeeper-batter Neil Rock and pacer Graham Hume have been named in the 15-member group to Zimbabwe. Fionn Hand and Ben White, who featured in the last series against India in August, have been omitted along with spin-bowling all-rounder Gareth Delany, who played against England in September.

The tour also marks the maiden assignment of Paul Stirling as a full-time white-ball skipper.
