SA20 2024 play-offs: Schedule, fixtures list and match timings for Qualifier 1, Eliminator & Qualifier 2
The second season of SA20 has reached its business end with play-off matches starting from February 6. Here is the full schedule of the SA20 2024 play-offs, including the full fixtures list, match timings and venues.
Unlike the inaugural edition in 2023, when the SA20 opted for a traditional semi-final and final knockout format, season two will see teams playing four play-off matches like IPL to determine the champions.
The Qualifier 1 on February 6 will be played between table-toppers Durban Super Giants and second-ranked Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The winner will head to the final, while the loser gets another shot in Qualifier 2 on February 8 against the winner of the Eliminator on February 7, contested between third-placed Paarl Royals and fourth-placed Joburg Super Kings. The final is on February 10.
MI Cape Town’s Ryan Rickleton leads the run-scoring charts with 530 runs at an average of 58.88 while striking at 173.77. Durban’s Matthew Breetzke, who follows him next with 383 runs at 38.30 and 144.52, will fancy his chances to climb up the ladder given Cape Town’s campaign has ended.
Meanwhile, Joburg pacer Lizaad Williams has picked up the most numbers of wickets (15) till now and is closely trailed by defending champions Eastern Cape’s Daniel Worral (14).
