T20 World Cup 2022, Bangladesh schedule: Fixtures list, dates & match start times for BAN

Bangladesh World Cup schedule
by Wisden Staff 1 minute read

Bangladesh begin their T20 World Cup campaign on October 24, when they take on the runners-up of Group A in Hobart — here’s the full list of fixtures, schedule, venues and start timings for BAN in the 2022 T20 WC.

Shakib Al Hasan will lead Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup Down Under, having directly qualified for the Super 12s of the edition. The team, however, is short on confidence, having recently crashed out in the first round of the 2022 Asia Cup, where they ended without a win in the first round. They will be hoping to turn things around when they travel to Australia from New Zealand, where they are currently embroiled in a T20I tri-series, also featuring the hosts and Pakistan.

Bangladesh have never won the ICC T20 World Cup, with their best-ever showing being reaching the Super 8s in the 2007 edition, which was also the inaugural tournament. They have played in all seven competitions that have been held.

Bangladesh will play at four venues in 2022, including their opener at Hobart. They will then travel to Sydney where they play South Africa. Bangladesh’s next fixture will be at the Gabba, before they go to Adelaide for their last two games.

Bangladesh are in Group 2, alongside South Africa, India, and Pakistan along with the winners of Group B and the runners-up of Group A.
