The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup is to be held at the Adelaide Oval in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd of over 50,000 people.

India qualified for the semi-final as winners of Group Two after winning four and losing just one of their five group games. The highlight of their Super 12 stage undoubtedly came in their opening match against Pakistan where they won an all-time classic off the final ball of the game after seemingly being dead and buried and needing 28 off 8 balls. Virat Kohli pulled off a masterful innings to see them home. 

England, on the other hand, qualified after finishing second in Group One. Of their five games, they won three, lost one and had a washout against Australia. England have recovered well after losing their second game of the group against Ireland in shock circumstances meaning they had to beat New Zealand and Sri Lanka in order to qualify. In a nervy run chase they claimed victory against Sri Lanka in the final over, cementing their place in the knockout stages of the tournament.
