The six teams have announced their pre-signings ahead of the second edition of the South Africa T20 — here’s the entire list of pre-signed players for the 2024 SA20.

Preparations for the second edition of the SA20 kickstarted with the six franchises finalising their pre-signed players, ahead of the auction that will be held in September 2023. Durban Super Giants, JoBurg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the six teams in action in the league, and they signed a number of big stars ahead of the upcoming season.

The big England stars to be roped in are Moeen Ali (Joburg), Liam Livingstone (MI Cape Town) and Dawid Malan (Sunrisers). Last season, Moeen picked to play the International League T20 side Sharjah Warriors instead of the Joburg Super Kings in the SA20, as the two leagues clashed.

Sam Cook, Tom Banton, Liam Dawson and Reece Topley are the other England players who have been pre-signed by teams ahead of the 2024 SA20.

Faf du Plessis, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Dewald Brevis and Sam Curran are some of the star players who have been retained by their respective teams in the competition.

The second season of the league will host an extra match in the playoffs, similar to the Indian Premier League’s model of having a Qualifier and an Eliminator.
