The second edition of the Women’s Premier League begins on February 23: here’s all you need to know about the T20 tournament, from players and teams to telecast details.

WPL 2024 will commence on February 23 with a match between defending champions Mumbai Indians and last year’s finalists Delhi Capitals. The two teams, along with UP Warriorz, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Giants, will lock horns against each other twice in a double round-robin league format until March 13.

The second- and third-placed teams will meet in the Eliminator, on March 15. The winner of the Eliminator will meet the table toppers in the final on March 17.

WPL 2024 opening ceremony: Date, timings and venue

The opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League 2024 will take place on Friday, February 22, from 6:30 pm local time. The iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the event.

Who will perform at the WPL 2024 closing ceremony?

The WPL 2024 opening ceremony will be a star-studded affair. The organisers have announced that various Bollywood actors like Shahrukh Khan, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Karthik Aryan will grace the stage ahead of the curtain-raiser match between last year’s finalists Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
