Bangladesh Women will tour South Africa next month for an ODI and T20I series, marking the first time the sides have played a bilateral series against each other since 2018. Here is the full schedule for the tour, including match timings and venues.

The tour will take place from December 3 to December 23, with three T20Is preceding three ODIs. Bangladesh have never beaten South Africa on home soil, having not toured the country since a 5-0 ODI series defeat and a 3-0 T20I series defeat in 2018. South Africa are coming off the back of an ODI series win over New Zealand women in October, and a 1-0 series defeat in a heavily rain-affected T20I series.

Laura Wolvaardt has been named full-time captain of South Africa ahead of the tour. Wolvaardt had been leading the side on an interim basis in their two previous series against Pakistan and New Zealand, but has now been given the job on a more permanent basis. Sune Luus stepped down from the captaincy of the side this August, despite having led South Africa to the final of the T20 World Cup six months previously.

Ayanda Hlubi and Eliz-Mari Marx have been called up to South Africa’s T20I squad for the first time, while Marizanne Kapp has been rested ahead of the ODIs. Ayabonga Khaka, Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk will not feature in either series due to injury.

After missing Bangladesh’s home series against Pakistan, Lata Mondal will return to the side for both formats.
