Watch: Two weeks before Sreesanth‘s explosive claims against Gautam Gambhir following an altercation in the Legends League Cricket 2023 Eliminator, the fast bowler was all praise for the former India opener.

Sreesanth and Gambhir were involved in a heated exchange during the Eliminator between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants in the second edition of the Legends League Cricket yesterday (December 6).

Following the on-field exchange, Sreesanth put out two videos on social media. After the game, he hinted at Gambhir abusing him on the field; and today (December 7), he accused Gambhir of calling him a ‘fixer’. Sreesanth maintained that he did not provoke Gambhir and was not abusive towards him.

As this explosive saga unfolds, a two-week old interaction between Gambhir and Sreesanth has resurfaced where the latter can be seen calling the former India opener a ‘very sweet and nice guy’.

In an interaction with Sportskeeda, Sreesanth said, “Trust me, he is one of the very sweetest persons and is one of the guys who will support you. And it doesn’t matter whether you are against him, he doesn’t really bother much.

“Gauti [Gambhir] bhai is too good, trust me. He has got one of the most charming smiles,” Sreesanth said, showing contrasting emotions to what was on display at the Legends League.
