Watch: Three days before the 2024 Australian Open, Andy Murray bowled a fast accurate yorker to dismiss a batter.

On January 11, Novak Djokovic played cricket on the court, then tennis with Steve Smith.

Andy Murray, winner of three Grand Slams and two Olympic gold medals, decided to join in the fun as well, by having a go at street cricket.

Running off one step, he hurled a tennis ball at a makeshift wicket. The unsuspecting batter, armed only with an upside-down tennis racquet, had no chance to defend his ‘stumps’ with this cricket bat impersonation.  Murray was ecstatic in his celebrations, as was the ‘fielder’ at short point.

The Glasgow-born Murray is eligible to play cricket for Scotland. Cricket Scotland did not relinquish the opportunity.
