The Emerging Asia Cup 2023 is set to get underway next month, with eight teams competing for the trophy – here’s Pakistan’s squad for the competition, including player news and injury updates.

This year’s tournament will be the fifth edition of the EAC and the first since 2019. It features ‘A’ teams from the five full members of the Asia Cricket Council (Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan), as well as Nepal, Oman and the UAE. Pakistan are the current reigning champions going into the Emerging Asia Cup, which will be hosted in Sri Lanka.
The PCB have announced a 15-man squad for the tournament, as well as four travelling reserves. The team will be captained by wicketkeeper-batted Mohammad Haris who has represented Pakistan at senior level in five ODIs and nine T20Is. The squad also features other players with full international honours including Arshad Iqbal, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shahnawaz Dahini and Tayyab Tahir.
As of yet, there is no injury news coming out of the squad and all players are expected to be fit to play.
The tournament will being in Colombo on July 12 and is set to last until July 21. The teams are divided into two groups for the first round of the tournament, with the top two teams from each qualifying for the semi-finals before the final and third placed play-off.
Pakistan’s squad will assemble at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on July 3 for a training camp before they depart for Sri Lanka.
