Karunaratne broken finger adds to Sri Lanka injury woes

by Wisden Staff 1 minute read

Sri Lanka have suffered another injury blow ahead of the forthcoming three-Test series against West Indies, with opener Dimuth Karunaratne struck down with a broken finger.

The injury, if it requires surgery, could potentially put him out of action for over two months.

Sri Lanka already have bowlers Nuwan Pradeep, Dushmantha Chameera and Shehan Madushanka doubtful due to injury.

Sri Lanka are scheduled to play three Tests throughout June, the first in Trinidad starting on June 6, the second in St Lucia starting on June 14 and the third – a day/night game – in Barbados starting on June 23.
