At Rajkot, Jaiswal shattered many records, including the most sixes in an innings. He also joined an elusive club of seven cricketers to score double-hundreds in two consecutive Tests, helping India register a 434-run victory, their biggest-ever Test win and take a 2-1 lead in the series. As a result, he gained 14 places to 15th position with a career-best 699 rating points.

There are four other India players inside the top 15 Test batters, with Jaiswal joining Virat Kohli (seventh), Rohit Sharma (12th) and Rishabh Pant (14th) on the list. Player of the Match Ravindra Jadeja’s 112 in the first innings elevated him from 41st to 34th among batters.

Kane Williamson consolidated his numero uno position, and currently has 893 ratings on the back of his match-winning century against South Africa in Hamilton. Ben Duckett (up 12 spots to 13th) and South Africa’s David Bedingham (up 29 spots to 50th) are the other big movers on the latest rankings update for batters.

In the latest ranking update for bowlers, Jadeja’s seven-wicket haul gave him a boost of three places to sixth. R Ashwin, who picked up his 500th Test scalp at Rajkot, jumped a spot to second, inching closer to his teammate Jasprit Bumrah at the top.

Jadeja strengthened his stronghold in the all-rounders’ rankings, achieving a career-high 469 ratings.
