US Open Cricket 2020 squads: The complete players lists for all the eight teams
The 12th edition of the US Open Cricket will get underway in Lauderhill, Florida on December 15 – find below the complete squad list and players of the eight participating teams.
US Open Cricket 2020 is set to begin in Florida on Tuesday, the 12th edition of a tournament that has offered young American players the chance to rub shoulders with some of the big names in the game.
Eight teams – 22 Yards Sultan, US All Stars, Somerset Cavaliers, Samp Army, Brampton Pacers CC, Atlanta Param Veers, Punjab Blues and Afghan Zwanan CC – will compete over five days for the trophy, with as many as three matches being played every day.
The eight teams have been divided into two groups. The tournament will be played at the Central Broward County Regional Park Cricket Stadium between December 15 and 20, with the top two teams from each group making it to the semi-finals.
This time around, there are some big names participating in the series. Atlanta Param Veers boast in their squad the self-titled Universe Boss Chris Gayle. Andre Russell, the most devastating all-rounder on his day, is with Somerset Cavaliers, while England World Cup-winner Liam Plunkett is part of the US All Stars.
