The Orca’s first match is on July 14 against Washington Freedom at the Ground Prairie Stadium in Texas. They conclude their five group games on July 25 against MI New York at Church Street Park in Morrisville in North Carolina.

Former India international Pravin Amre will coach the side, he played 11 Test matches for India as well as 37 ODIs, the last of which was in 1994. Former New Zealand captain Ross Taylor joins him on the staff as batting coach, and Johan Botha is the side’s bowling coach.

There is a strong South Africa contingent among the Orcas’ overseas players. Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klassen and Wayne Parnell are all set to be a part of the team, along with Andrew Tye of Australia and Dasun Shanaka of Sri Lanka.

As yet, there is no news of any injury to the Orcas squad and all players are expected to be fit and able to participate in the tournament.

The six teams will play in a round robin league format. Between their first and last matches, Seattle will play the San Francisco Unicorns on July 15 at the Grand Prairie Stadium; and the Texas Super Kings on July 21 and the Los Angeles Knight Riders on July 23, both at the Church Street Park.
