The first edition of the Major League Cricket 2023 is set to get underway on July 13 (July 14 in India): here’s the full schedule and match list for MI New York in the tournament.

MI New York in Major League Cricket

The Mumbai Indians franchise has invested in the USA-based MLC, buying the team that will represent New York. The side will be called MI New York and will be captained by Kieron Pollard. Pollard played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL for 13 years and was named the batting coach ahead of the 2023 season.

The line-up also includes Rashid Khan, Trent Boult, and Kagiso Rabada along with Nicholas Pooran, Tim David, Dewald Brevis and Jason Behrendorff. David Wiese is the ninth overseas player in the squad that will be coached by Robin Peterson.

Lasith Malinga, who also represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL in the past, has been named the bowling coach, while J Arunkumar and James Pamment will be the batting and fielding coaches, respectively.

MI New York will begin their campaign against San Francisco Unicorns, playing the second game of the competition on July 14 (July 15 in India). They will play a total of five league games, taking on the other team once in the competition. MI New York will play their first three games at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas before winding up the first round at Church Street Park in Morrisville.

The playoffs will be held on July 27 and July 28, with the final scheduled for July 30 in Dallas.
