The county season kicks off with the opening rounds of the County Championship in both Divisions One and Two, before the T20 Blast and the One Day Cup get into action later in the summer. Following the conclusion of The Hundred, the 2024 County Championship then returns for its closing rounds, finishing up in September when the champions of Divisions One and Two will be crowned.
County Championship 2024: Squads
There are 18 teams in the County Championship, split into two divisions. Ten teams make up Division One while the other eight complete Division Two.
Division One: Surrey, Hampshire, Essex, Durham, Lancashire, Warwickshire, Kent, Nottinghamshire, Somerset, Worcestershire.
Division Two: Derbyshire, Sussex, Middlesex, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire, Glamorgan.

County Championship 2024: Schedule
County Championship 2024 begins on Friday, April 5, with reigning champions Surrey getting their campaign underway against Lancashire at Old Trafford. After eight rounds of competition, the Championship will break for a month in June before returning for two rounds of fixtures. The final rounds will then take place between August 22 and September 29.
