Pakistan’s World Cup schedule has been in the balance in recent months as the stand-off between the PCB and BCCI led to an unprecedented delay in the announcement of the World Cup schedule. However, the official schedule is finally out now with the India vs Pakistan game having a confirmed date along with entire fixtures lists for all teams.
Pakistan will play its matches in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata, with the box-office clash against India set to be held in Ahmedabad. Pakistan will play their nine matches in the league stage of the tournament across five venues, starting on October 6 against the Netherlands, and ending on November 11 against England.
2023 World Cup – When is the event supposed to be held?
The men’s ODI World Cup is currently set to be held from October 5 to November 19.
Have the venues been finalised?
The 2023 men’s ODI World Cup will be played across ten venues in India: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata.
Two more venues, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, will host the warm-up games, taking the total tally of venues that will be involved to 12.
How many matches will be played?
A total of 48 matches will be played in the 2023 World Cup: the 10 teams will compete in a round-robin league stage across 45 matches before the semi-finals and final.

Pakistan will play their nine league games across five different venues at the 2023 ODI World Cup. All timings are local.
October 6: Pakistan v Netherlands, Hyderabad, 2 pm
October 10: Pakistan v Sri Lanka, Hyderabad, 2 pm
October 14: Pakistan v India, Ahmedabad, 2 pm
October 20: Pakistan v Australia, Bengaluru, 2 pm
October 23: Pakistan v Afghanistan, Chennai, 2 pm
October 27: Pakistan v South Africa, Chennai, 2 pm
October 31: Pakistan v Bangladesh, Kolkata, 2 pm
November 4: Pakistan v New Zealand, Bengaluru, 10:30 am
November 11: Pakistan v England, Kolkata, 2 pm
Pakistan will play their semifinal in Kolkata on November 16 from 2 pm, if they qualify.
