Australia will play their first of two official warm-up matches for the Women’s T20 World Cup against India today – here’s where you can follow IND vs AUS Women’s T20 live ahead of the tournament.

The reigning champions will face India, who are currently fourth in the ICC T20I team rankings, at Newlands in Cape Town. The first ball will be bowled at 12:30pm GMT.

Australia have won every World Cup since 2017, as well as gold in the Commonwealth Games last year, and are strong favourites to win the tournament. They bettered India by 54 runs the last time the teams faced off in December, with Heather Graham taking a remarkable hat-trick in just her third international outing. Ashleigh Gardner hit a quick-fire unbeaten 66 in that match and she was also awarded Player of the T20I Series in Australia’s 4-1 win.

India come off the back of playing in the T20I Tri-Series in South Africa, with West Indies making up the numbers alongside the hosts. Deepti Sharma emerged as the Player of the Series, taking nine wickets in five matches at just 9.89, but India lost out in the final to South Africa by five wickets.

This is the first of two warm-ups for each side before the tournament gets underway on Friday. Australia will next face Ireland on Wednesday, with India also set to face Bangladesh.
