Women's Ashes 2023, Practice Match Schedule: Full Fixtures List And Timings For Ashes Warm-Ups
by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

Women’s Ashes 2023 starts in just over a week’s time with the only Test match of the multi-format series at Trent Bridge. Here’s the practice match schedule for the Test including timings.

England announced their squad for the Test match today (June 12), with two uncapped players included along with potential Test debutants Alice Capsey and Danni Wyatt. Australia have already travelled over to England, having named their squad several months ago.

Regular all-format Australia Ashes captain, Meg Lanning, is set to miss the series for medical reasons, with Alyssa Healy leading in her place.

Four points are on offer for a Test match win, two for a draw, with a further two points available for victory in each of the white-ball matches of the series (three ODIs and three T20Is).

The Test match will be the first five-day game under the multi-format system, with ticket sales having already reportedly smashed records for a women’s Test match.

Australia are the current holder of the Ashes and have been since 2015, when they won the title back on English soil. England haven’t won a series since 2013 when the registered back-to-back series wins in England and Australia.

The warm-up matches for this series’ Test will take place from June 15 to 17, with one three-day match each for England and Australia. Each side will play against their counterpart’s ‘A’ team.

With no formal set-up for long-form domestic women’s cricket in either country, the warm-up matches are an important part of preparations for the Test. Entry will be free for both these matches.
