Watch: Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan sprinted and dived to clutch on to what is being termed as ‘one of the greatest catches’, during a thrilling West Indies-Pakistan Test on August 15.

Rizwan, who’s pulled off multiple stunners over the last year (exhibit A, exhibit B), added another to his name during a riveting fourth day’s play at Kingston, with West Indies eventually winning the contest with just a wicket to spare.

Chasing 168, West Indies had lost their top eight for 142, but Kemar Roach, their No.9, kept fighting valiantly to keep them in the game. Jomel Warrican, at 10, had given him ample support as they inched towards the target before Hasan Ali decided to test Warrican with a bouncer in the 53rd over.

Off the fourth delivery of the over, Warrican tried to hook a short one from outside off, but ended up getting a healthy top edge that flew towards fine leg.

As many as four fielders converged as the ball lost altitude, including Rizwan, who sprinted back from his wicketkeeping spot in pursuit. The fine-leg fielder could only watch as Rizwan dived full length, pouching the ball with both his hands to complete the catch. It was an extremely crucial scalp in the context of the game, with only No.11 Jayden Seales to follow, and 17 runs still required for a West Indies.

Eventually, Roach took them over the line, bringing an end to a thrilling Test that took West Indies 1-0 up in the two-match series.
