England are looking to make amends for their disastrous World Cup 2023 campaign as they face West Indies for a three-match away ODI series before locking horns in five T20Is. They will be eager to get back to their winning ways after bowing out of the tournament after a run of five defeats in six.
Meanwhile, West Indies failed to qualify for the recently concluded World Cup for the first time, meaning the clashes give them a chance to salvage some pride.
The last time the two sides met in an ODI series was way back in 2019 as a prelude to the 2019 World Cup. The closely fought five-match series ended in a tie with the scoreline 2-2.
The first two matches will be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, on December 3 and December 6, followed by the third ODI at Kensington Oval, Barbados on December 9.
England have made wholesale changes from their World Cup squad with Jos Buttler, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Gus Atkinson, Liam Livingstone and Sam Curran the only survivors from the group selected to go to India for the World Cup.
For West Indies, Shai Hope will lead the 15-man squad, which includes uncapped all-rounders Sherfane Rutherford and Matthew Forde, among other notable inclusions.
