Pakistan have announced their 15-member squad for the 2024 men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Here is all you need to know about the Pakistan U19 squad, including the full team list.

The 2024 men’s Under-19 World Cup will be the fifteenth edition of the tournament, scheduled to be played in South Africa between January-February 2024.

Pakistan are the third most successful side in the tournament’s history, having won it twice – 2004 and 2006. They finished fifth in the previous edition in 2022.

The PCB announced the 15-member squad for tournament today (December 23). Sohail Tanvir, the former left-arm seamer from Pakistan who is currently the chairman of the junior selection committee, said that they took into account the conditions that will be on offer in South Africa while selecting the squad.

“I want to congratulate the 15 players who have made it into the squad for South Africa” said Tanvir. “I am confident that this well-balanced side has the capability and potential to perform well in the World Cup.

“While picking the team, we have considered the conditions in South Africa where the pitches are conducive to pace bowling and have aimed to cover all bases.”

Among the chosen 15, two players have experience of playing in an Under-19 World Cup previously – Ali Asfand and Mohammad Zeeshan. Zeeshan, the tall fast bowler, was in the limelight recently in the Under-19 Asia Cup, taking 11 wickets from four games at an average of 10.80.
