India will take on Pakistan as they open their campaign in the 2022 T20 World Cup match on Sunday — here’s the Dream11 fantasy preview for IND vs PAK.

India faced a heavy defeat against Pakistan at the 2021 T20 World Cup, which was also their first-ever defeat to the country in all World Cups (including 50-over matches). A lot has changed for India since then – Rohit Sharma has taken over the side and they have a new head coach in Rahul Dravid as well. India recently lost to Pakistan in the Asia Cup and did not make the final but bounced back strongly to win series against Australia and South Africa.

Pakistan reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup last year and have been on a high since then, reaching the final of the Asia Cup and then winning the T20I tri-series featuring New Zealand and Bangladesh recently.

IND v PAK Dream11 fantasy tips

Virat Kohli and Babar Azam should be the first picks in the team. The former India skipper has an excellent record in Australia, averaging 64, and has also scored heaps of runs against Pakistan. Babar is a solid option at the top of the order, as is Mohammad Rizwan, who can get points with the gloves as well.

Shaheen Afridi will be a threat to India, especially considering Rohit’s record against left-arm seamers. Rohit has been dismissed 14 times to left-arm quicks in the powerplay overs alone, and also averages a dismal 15 against the rivals, and could be a tricky pick.

Both teams have plenty of all-rounders and we suggest you fill your team with them. Hardik Pandya, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz can all contribute in both departments and should make it.

Dinesh Karthik might not be the best fantasy pick. Even if he contributes vital runs, he is expected to come in only at the death, which will not give him the opportunity to get big runs, and thus, big points.
