New Zealand, having won only their second ICC men’s title this year, would look to go ahead and win the T20 World Cup as well. They have played 30 games in the tournament, and have won 15 games. They have reached the semi-finals of the ICC T20 WC on two occasions – in 2007 and in 2016.
New Zealand will be led by Kane Williamson for the tournament. They lost both their warm-up matches, against England and Australia.
New Zealand are part of Group 2 of the World Cup. They lost to Pakistan in their opening encounter on October 26. They will also play India, Afghanistan, and two qualifying teams in the group.
