The last time England and Pakistan met in Test matches was in 2020, when Pakistan toured England during the Covid-19 pandemic and lost the series 1-0. Some brilliant rear-guard action from Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes ensured England victory in the first Test, before James Anderson passed 600 Test wickets in Southampton to complete the series.

Pakistan have only lost two Test matches to England on home soil.
