India’s first international series since IPL 2022 will feature a few young faces alongside some of the established stars. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested, with KL Rahul being named skipper of the side. The series will be played across five venues in India – Delhi, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bengaluru. A day ahead of the Delhi game, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav were both ruled out of the series due to injury. Rishabh Pant will now lead the side.
The South Africa team arrived in India on June 2, with the series acting as an important preparation point ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia later this year.
