India take on South Africa in a three-match T20I series, which will be followed by as many ODIs from September 28 — here’s where you can watch IND vs SA 2022/23 live on TV and live streaming.
For the second time this year, South Africa will tour India for a T20I series in preparation for the T20 World Cup that begins in October Down Under. The Proteas, led by Temba Bavuma, arrive in India with an 18-member strong squad, all of whom will be travelling to Australia for the multi-national event.
Bjorn Fortuin, Marco Jansen and Andile Phehlukwayo, part of the squad for the series in India, will be the travelling reserves for South Africa in the T20 World Cup.
India, on the other hand, are dealing with a number of injury concerns. Ravindra Jadeja, who had suffered a knee injury during the Asia Cup, has been ruled out of the series, while Mohammed Shami is out after testing positive for Covid-19. Umesh Yadav, who had replaced him in the squad for the Australia T20Is, has been named his replacement.
Deepak Hooda is suffering from back spasms and is replaced with Shreyas Iyer in the squad. India have rested Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the series, with Arshdeep Singh returning against South Africa. He had been rested for the three T20Is against Australia.
The first match will be played at Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday before the action shifts to Guwahati on October 2. The Holkar Stadium in Indore will host the third and final T20I on October 4.
The two teams will play three ODIs after the 20-over games end, from October 6.
