Kemar Roach gets Travis Head caught behind for a golden duck

Watch: Kemar Roach snared Travis Head for a golden duck to take two wickets in two balls at the end of the first session on Day Two of the second Test match in Brisbane.

West Indies got off to a blistering start with the ball after being bowled out for 311 in their first innings. Australia had five overs to bat before the interval, with Steve Smith walking out for his second match as a Test opener alongside Usman Khawaja. Roach, who suffered an unfortunate run out earlier in the day, took the new ball and was hit for four off the fifth ball he sent down to Smith.

However, he struck him on the pads with his following delivery, and a successful review gave West Indies a breakthrough in the first over of the innings. Alzarri Joseph followed up in the next over, dismissing Marnus Labuschagne thanks to a brilliant diving catch from Kevin Sinclair at fourth slip.

Three overs later and with only two balls remaining before the break, Roach sent a full ball down to Cameron Green who pushed at it. It chipped up into the air and straight to Kraigg Brathwaite at mid off, meaning Head would have to survive one ball to see out the sessions.

Having walked out to the middle and taken guard, Head was met with a full ball sliding across him and going down the leg side. He wafted at it, just getting a scratch of his bat on the ball before it was taken well by Joshua Da Silva diving to his right. The umpire’s finger went up immediately, leaving Australia in all kinds of trouble at 24-4.
