Just four days after winning the T20 World Cup, England will play three ODIs against Australia, with the series beginning on November 17 — here’s where you can watch AUS vs ENG 2022/23.
T20 World Cup champions England have stayed back in Australia for a short ODI series, where three games will be played over the span of five days. The first ODI will begin on November 17 at the Adelaide Oval, before the action shifts to Sydney for the second game on November 19. The Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the third and final ODI, on November 22.
The visitors will be led by Jos Buttler, who also led England to the T20 crown on Sunday, with the squad also comprising of T20 World Cup winners Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan. Overall, 11 members of the team will play against Australia, while Ben Stokes and Mark Wood have been rested.
Australia, on the other hand, will be led by Pat Cummins, who took over from Aaron Finch after the latter announced his retirement from the format in September. Travis Head is expected to be the opener alongside David Warner. Glenn Maxwell, who fractured his leg and underwent surgery, has been ruled out. The 34-year-old could miss the rest of the summer if reports are to be believed. Sean Abbott has been named his replacement.
