Biography

Theo Doropoulos is a former Western Australia all-rounder who currently plays for South Australia. He is primarily a batsman who is handy with the ball and chips in whenever required. Nicknamed 'Zoolander', he holds the record for the highest score at the Under-19 level in a one day international scoring 179 runs of only 155 balls against England in 2003.

Doropoulos will be remembered for smashing Australian legend Michael Kasprowicz far into the stands in the fast bowlers final state match in the Ford Ranger Cup in 2007 en route to a sparkling 63-ball 75. He has also played as a substitute fielder for the Australian national team and took a catch in the third Test in 2009-10 against West Indies to dismiss the ninth wicket. An energetic entity, Doropoulos will be an integral part of South Australia team in seasons to come.
