Biography

Krishmar Santokie is a left-arm medium pace bowler who made his U15 appearance for West Indies in England in 2000. Seven years later, he made his List A debut for Jamaica. Despite not having played first-class cricket, he featured in the inaugural Caribbean T20 in 2010, bagging a five-wicket haul against Trinidad and Tobago. Later, in 2011, Santokie was included in the West Indies T20I squad for the series against England.

One look at him and he could easily be passed as just another dibbly-dobbly bowler but he is anything but. A bowler who thrives on change of pace, Santokie has the ability to deceive batsmen with his shard swinging deliveries as well as contrastingly slow cutters that completely take unsuspecting batsmen off guard. Having spent a number of years in England,he mastered the art of swing bowling which he continues to use in international cricket. Santokie was instrumental in taking West Indies to the semis of the ICC WT20 2014 with timely wickets and miserly spells. No wonder, he was grabbed by the Mumbai franchise for the 2014 edition of the Indian T20 League.
