Biography
Dishant Yagnik, a left-handed batsman and wicket keeper hails from the tribal belt of Banswara in Southern Rajasthan. He made his first-class debut in 2004-05 for Rajasthan. He was also the highest run-getter for his state in limited overs in the 2010-11 season.
Yagnik is best remembered for his last ball six off Sourav Ganguly in a Deodhar Trophy match in Jaipur in 2006. He also participated in the rebel league, but quit later and joined the Indian T20 league. He was signed by the Rajasthan team in 2011. He became the first choice wicketkeeper of the team and was decent behind the stumps. He can use the long handle, as well as play good-looking shots which makes his position in the side more secured.
