Biography

Ashan Priyanjan is a right-handed batsman who made his first-class debut in 2008, and months later was leading Sri Lanka in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia.

Priyanjan also bowls medium pace and is an ardent admirer of Lankan great Aravinda de Silva. His all-round performances for the Under-19 side propelled him into the T20 squad of Uva Next for the 2012 Champions League in South Africa, replacing injured Upul Tharanga at the last minute.
