Biography
Born in Australia, Alex Cusack, a right-arm medium-fast bowler, moved to Ireland in 2005. He made his international debut in 2007 in a one-off ODI against South Africa where he put in a Man-of-the-Match performance with figures of 3 for 15 and top scored with 36 runs. He was part of the Irish side in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in which his contributions helped Ireland progress to the Super Eight stage.
In a game against Sri Lanka, Cusack almost propelled his side to a win picking up 4/18 to restrict the Lankans to a moderate total. He played a crucial role in his side’s progress at the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and also helped them earn a place in the ICC World Twenty20 in 2012.
