Watch: Sachin Tendulkar was clearly impressed after Amir Hussain stopped a ball on the boundary in the inauguration match for the first season of the Indian Street Premier League.

The competition aims to provide a platform for emerging cricketers. Players bat and keep without the usual protective equipment, playing with a softer ball.

In a special game, broadcast on Sony Sports, Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and several other notable figures in the country took part. These included Amir Hussain, who lost his arms in a childhood sawmill accident, and has gained fame for his unique cricketing style, holding the bat between his chin and shoulder.

In ISPL, he showed his ability in the field as well, chasing after a firmly struck shot, judging the bouncing ball well and stopping it with his foot. He also bowled in the game, with Tendulkar wicketkeeping.

Tendulkar made 30 off 17 in the game and was dismissed by Munawar Faruqui, the winner of season 17 of Bigg Boss, a Hindi Big Brother spin-off.
