With Australia clean-sweeping the ODI series 3-0 riding on Ashleigh Gardner’s Player of the Series performance, the focus now shifts to the T20Is. The three matches will be held at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on March 31, April 2 and 4.

Bangladesh have named a 15-member squad led by Nigar Sultana Joty. Fargana Hoque has been left out of the ODI series. She had scores of 0, 7 and 5 in the three ODIs. Dilara Akter has come in place of Fargana, while Fariha Trisna and Shorifa Khatun have replaced Disha Biswas and Nishita Akter.

For Australia, a 15-player group under Alyssa Healy’s leadership will have the opportunity to fine-tune their combinations ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Bangladesh in September and October.

Australia have recalled Sophie Molineux after she healed from a foot stress fracture and returned to the side in the one-off Test against South Africa in Perth. She starred for the tourists in the second ODI against Bangladesh, picking up a match-winning 3-10. Tayla Vlaeminck is also included and in line to play her first international match since the start of 2022, following a horrid run with injury. She was a part of the ODI series but didn’t get a game.
