West Indies announced their squad for the upcoming home Test series against Bangladesh, with a couple of notable exceptions.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) released the details of the squad early on Saturday (November 16), for the series which begins on November 22. The two Tests will take place in Antigua and Jamaica, with three ODIs and three T20Is to follow.
Gudakesh Motie, Jason Holder miss out on Bangladesh Tests
A 15-man squad has been named, with the most notable omission being that of left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie. Motie began his Test career in excellent fashion, with 22 wickets in his first five matches. However, he has endured a spell of difficult form in the longest format this year.

On West Indies' tour of England in July, he had a decent outing but failed to make the incisive impact the visitors expected from him as the lone spinner in the XI. Back home after that, against South Africa, Motie finished with just three wickets in four innings, averaging over 68 with the ball.
Pace bowling all-rounder Jason Holder will also miss the series, but as clarified by CWI, he is still undergoing rehabilitation from a shoulder injury. Batter Justin Greaves has been recalled after some excellent form in the Super50 Cup, and spin bowling all-rounder Kevin Sinclair is also part of the squad.
Kraigg Brathwaite will continue to lead the West Indies, with Joshua da Silva his deputy for the second consecutive Test series. Brathwaite will also lead a Cricket West Indies Select XI in a 2-day warm-up match against the tourists, scheduled for November 17 and 18.
Bangladesh announced their squad for the tour last week. Najmul Hossain Shanto has remained as Test captain, despite rumours earlier this month that he wanted to step down from the position.
