Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best engage in a heated exchange in the final of the International Masters League

Watch: In a high-voltage drama, Yuvraj Singh and West Indies fast bowler Tino Best were involved in an on-field spat during the final of the International Masters League on Sunday (March 16).

The incident occurred during the second innings of the game when Yuvraj and Best had a verbal altercation. Best wanted to leave the field after completing the 13th over, but Yuvraj informed the umpire, forcing Best to return. This decision irked the West Indies fast bowler.

Best charged at the former India all-rounder, who stood his ground. The duo exchanged some fiery words and pointed fingers at each other before being intervened by West Indies skipper Brian Lara.

"He (Tino Best) is someone who doesn’t back down. He is someone who likes to have a chat. Two players who don’t back down. That’s when you get an issue," described former England pacer Darren Gough on commentary.

Yuvraj went on to score an unbeaten 13 off 11 balls helping his team gun down 149 in 17.1 overs. India’s chase was set up by a 67-run opening stand between Ambati Rayudu and Sachin Tendulkar. While Tendulkar fell for an 18-ball 25, Rayudu stayed till the end to take his team home with 74 off 50 including nine fours and three sixes.
