Watch: Iftikhar Ahmed gave a fiery send-off to Kamran Ghulam in the National T20 Cup semi-final between Peshawar and Abbottabad on Wednesday.
Sahibzada Farhan went on a record-breaking spree in the semi-final, scoring his second 140-plus score in five days for Peshawar. Farhan made 146* taking Peshawar to 243-3 in 20 overs.
In response, Abbottabad got off to a strong start before Israrullah broke the opening partnership of 74 in the seventh over. That brought Ghulam to the crease at No.3. The right-hander had recently made his Test debut, replacing Babar Azam and scoring a hundred in his first knock. However, he couldn't create much impact for Abbottabad.

Of the third ball of the eighth over, Ghulam tried to hit a half-volley by Iftikhar down the ground but could only manage to find long-on as Abbottabad were reduced to 77-2 in 7.3 overs. Following the dismissal, Iftikhar gave Ghulam a fiery send-off, celebrating in his direction as the batter walked past him. It made the commentator on air go, "Has he picked up Viv Richards?"
Peshawar restricted Abbottabad to 187, winning the match by 56 runs and qualifying for the final.
