New Zealand will host Sri Lanka Women for three ODIs and as many T20Is from tomorrow (March 4). Here are the full squad lists for the white-ball series, including injury updates and replacements.
When will the NZ vs SL Women 2025 ODI series be played?
The ODI series gets underway on March 4 in Napier. Both sides will then travel to Nelson where they will play the second and third match, on March 7 and 9, respectively.
The action then moves to the T20I series from March 14 in Christchurch, with the second game starting on March 16 at the same venue. The final match will be held in Dunedin on March 18.
The two sides will reconvene for the first time since the T20 World Cup in October last year. New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets courtesy of Georgia Plimmer’s 53 before eventually lifting the title.

NZ vs SL Women 2025 ODIs & T20Is: Team News
New Zealand will be without their captain Sophie Devine, who continues to prioritise her wellbeing. The development comes after she opted out of Super Smash and WPL 2025 for the same reason. Instead, Suzie Bates will lead the hosts, while Amelia Kerr, another key player for them, will miss the white-ball matches due to her WPL stint with Mumbai Indians.
They have named three uncapped players in all-rounder Emma McLeod, batter Izzy Sharp and left-arm spinner Bree Illing, all of whom have represented New Zealand previously at Under-19 level. The series also sees the return of Plimmer who was sidelined due to a bone stress fracture in her hip. In another huge blow for the home side, all-rounder Hayley Jensen has been ruled out of the ODI series due to a hip flexor injury, with tweaker Fran Jones coming in as her replacement.
On the other hand, Manudi Nanayakkara, Rashmika Sewwandi and Chethana Vimukthi are the three uncapped players in their 16-member Sri Lanka squad led by veteran Chamari Athapaththu. They have ommitted left-arm spinner Inoka Ranaweera and seam-bowling all-rounder Ama Kanchana. Batter Hasina Perera and wrist-spinner Shashini Gambini are also missing from the 2024 T20 World Cup outfit.
