latest ICC rankings

Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol rose up the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings, while Chamari Athapaththu is no longer in the top five.

India beat Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the first ODI of the Tri-Nation Series in Sri Lanka, which also features South Africa.

Smriti Mandhana made 43, which altered her rating slightly (from 738 to 737), but she remained at second place, behind Laura Wolvaardt. However, an unbeaten 50 helped her opening partner Rawal jump ten spots to break into the top 50. She is 47th despite having played only seven ODIs. Deol (48 not out) also rose four places, from 53rd to 49th.

Athapaththu, on the other hand, made only seven and went from 688 to 671, which was enough for her rank to drop from fourth to seventh. On the all-rounders rankings – led by Ash Gardner – she dropped from joint seventh to eighth after she bowled four wicketless overs.

Sneh Rana (3-31) reentered the bowlers rankings (headed by Sophie Ecclestone) at 57th place, while missing the game resulted in Renuka Singh Thakur drop one position to 20th. Inoka Ranaweera, who got the only Indian wicket, however, rose two places to 25th.
