RECENT REPORTS THROWING SARFARAZ UNDER THE BUS!
According to the recent reports that have surfaced, Sarfaraz Khan has been thrown under the bus as the Mumbai batter is being blamed for the dressing room leaks. Only the players and the support staff in the dressing room know the full truth of the story but sacrificing a player whose position is already under threat in the squad is not the ideal way to go in this situation.

Compliance of the new Guidelines
BCCI states that the new guidelines have been put in place to ensure maximum operational efficiency and fostering unity which will further lead to an environment allowing players to give their 100% to the team. As seen last year, the BCCI is ready to take strict disciplinary action if the guidelines are not followed.
"Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the BCCI which reserves the right to take disciplinary action against a player which may include (i) sanction against the concerned player from participating in all BCCI conducted tournaments including the Indian Premier League; and (ii) deduction from retainer amount/match fees under BCCI Player contract."
Family Travel Policy and Restrictions on Individual Staff
In light of recent events where a senior BCCI official was not happy with a personal assistant attending team meetings, lunches, and even travelling in the cars allotted to team members and BCCI officials, the apex body in Indian cricket has taken strong steps to avoid the same.
The document states that to minimize logistical challenges, personal staff which includes personal managers, chefs, assistants, and security would be restricted on tours unless approved by the BCCI.
Eligibility for Family Travel Policy: "Players absent from India for more than 45 days during overseas tours can be joined by their partners and children (under 18) for one visit per series (format wise) of up to a two-week period."
Travel Restrictions to be implemented strongly in the near future
The ten-point policy further states "All players are expected to travel with the team to and from matches and practice sessions. Separate travel arrangements with families are discouraged to maintain discipline and team cohesion."
In light of recent events during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a couple of senior players were seen travelling with their wives during the course of the entire tour.
To ensure a uniform work ethic within the team, the BCCI states that no player should be leaving a practice session or a tour earlier than expected as travelling together would help in avoiding any disruption to team dynamics.
Staying available for Domestic Cricket is MANDATORY
Over the last 12 months, BCCI has been taking strict actions against players (read Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan) for opting out of domestic tournaments, even dropping the duo from the current Central Contracts list.
After losing 6 out of the last 8 Tests, BCCI has now asked players to remain eligible for domestic cricket unless the player has a formal approval from the Selection Committee.
The Policy Document also states that Participation in Domestic Matches ensures that players remain connected to the domestic cricket ecosystem, fostering talent development, maintaining match fitness, and strengthening the overall domestic structure.
A BIG NO to personal shoots during tours
In order to improve team cohesion and focus on tours or amidst an ongoing series, players have been prohibited from engaging in personal shoots/endorsements.
BCCI implements ten-point plan for contracted players
In an attempt to "promote discipline, unity and a positive team environment", the BCCI has implemented a ten-point policy.
This includes reduced time with families on tours, restrictions on individual staff and increased participation in domestic matches.
