Australia India Women's Test at WACA

India Women’s hectic, cross-country tour of Australia in 2025/26 will culminate in a day-night Test match at the revamped WACA Stadium in Perth.

India Women will play three T20Is, three ODIs, and a Test match in Australia in the Southern Hemisphere summer of 2025/26, announced a Cricket Australia release. The hectic schedule will span seven different cities in Australia, the largest of all Full Member Nations in terms of area. These will be the only international matches for Australia Women on home soil in the summer of 2025/26.

The tour begins with the T20Is on February 15, 19, and 21, at Sydney, Canberra, and Adelaide. These will be followed by the ODIs, on February 24 and 27 and March 1, at Brisbane, Hobart, and Melbourne; and a four-day day-night Test match from March 6 to 9, at the “touched-up”, “redeveloped” WACA Ground in Perth.

According to the release, the WACA is undergoing a redevelopment that will transform it into a 10,000-capacity “boutique venue”. The process is expected to be completed later this year. Australia have hosted four women’s Tests at the venue – against England in 1958/59, 1984/85, and 2013/14, and against South Africa in 2023/24.

Of their six Test matches in Australia, India Women have drawn two and lost four. However, they did hold the upper hand in the day-night Test at Carrara in 2021/22, their only Test in the country since 2005/06. They took a first-innings lead of 136 and set Australia 272, but there was not enough time left in the Test.

India also have a 7-17 record in women’s ODIs and 8-8 in women’s T20Is in the nation. Against Australia in Australia, these numbers read 4-15 and 4-7.
