Chadd Sayers has signed for Gloucestershire as an overseas player and will be available for their match against Sussex on Tuesday June 11.
The Australian opening bowler, who has been capped once at Test level, will play for the west-country outfit until July 25, and will be bidding to gatecrash the Australia squad for the Ashes later this summer.
“I’m delighted to be heading to Gloucestershire for part of the 2019 season,” said Sayers. “It has always been an ambition of mine to play county cricket and I’m really looking forward to getting started. Hopefully I can help the team as they push for promotion from division two.”
