Yuzvendra Chahal being named Ravindra Jadeja’s concussion substitute in the first Australia-India T20I has caused quite a stir, especially as Chahal played a match-defining role, picking up three wickets to be named Player of the Match in an Indian win.
With the announcement of the concussion sub being made during the innings break, Australia head coach Justin Langer was seen in a heated discussion with match referee David Boon and all through Australia’s failed chase, Twitter was filled with hilarious suggestions of what, other than the Jadeja sub issue, the two former Australia teammates could have been talking about.
What were Langer and Boon arguing about? Wrong answers only.#AUSvINDhttps://t.co/SJYMwZIWYr

Black and blue or white and gold?
The oldest online debate of them all, or so it seems, whether ‘The Dress’ is white and gold or blue and black. When the whole of mankind is divided on the matter, it’s only natural that Boon and Langer are finding it hard to come to an agreement too.
What do you think? I say it’s white and gold.
“It’s white and gold”
“No, Black and blue.”

The scone debate
Ah, England’s very own scone debate – jam first or cream?
No mate, it’s cream first, then jam. Cream seals the scone, see… like butter on a sanga. pic.twitter.com/S7zOrxMFSL

Darren McGeady, a former chef to the British Royal Family, had seemingly settled the debate a couple of years ago though with the following revelation, but these debates don’t ever end, do they?
The Queen always had home-made Balmoral jam first ( @tiptree little scarlet when we ran out) with clotted cream on top at Buckingham Palace garden parties in the Royal tea tent and all Royal tea parties. https://t.co/fTAyuwGxcs

A Star Is Born – which one’s the best?
Langer proclaimed his love for hit film A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, on Amazon documentary The Test: “Oh my god, it’s like my new favourite movie, and it’s the saddest, most beautiful movie I’ve ever seen.”
But the 2018 flick was the third remake, with its first version coming in 1934, followed by two more in 1954 and 1976. So this makes it a possible point of discussion between the Australia head coach and the match referee too.
“Look Justin I’m just not sure it’s even the best version of A Star is Born, let alone the greatest film of all time.” pic.twitter.com/2zNuf8XHBa

The classic Headingley bin joke
The Headingley dustbin, kicked by Justin Langer in frustration after Nathan Lyon’s pivotal botched run out of Ben Sotkes, is now a part of Ashes folklore. Perhaps the bill had just come through?
Hey mate , headingley have sent the invoice through for that bin !! It’s not good!

Or was it a serious cricketing discussion, after all?
Yeah, possibly a serious cricketing discussion from the duo’s playing days. Back to Langer’s Test debut, when Australia lost by just one run against West Indies in Adelaide. Whether Boon carrying his bat in the first innings while scoring just 39 runs or Langer’s 54 in the chase of 186 was the better knock could have been a point of discussion.
Whether Boon’s 39 not out in the 1st innings of the 1993 Adelaide test match against the Windies was a grittier knock than Langer’s 54 in the second innings. https://t.co/O7FicMfHfk

The possibilities are endless as two old teammates got involved in an animated discussion, but all signs point towards the discussion being about just one thing – whether Chahal was actually a like-for-like substitute for Jadeja or not?
