Bangladesh have named a 15-member squad under the leadership of Najmul Hossain Shanto, who missed the series against West Indies. Among the notable inclusions is the return of veteran Mushfiqur Rahim, who was absent during Bangladesh’s previous assignment. Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has earned a maiden Test call-up, while fast bowler Taskin Ahmed misses out due to a "left Achilles tendon issue".
For Zimbabwe, Craig Ervine returns to lead the side after withdrawing from the Test against Ireland earlier this year. Also returning is veteran all-rounder Sean Williams, who has recovered from a back injury. Among other notable changes, wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga makes a comeback, having last played his debut Test against West Indies two years ago
Wellington Masakadza, who last played a Test in 2023 against West Indies, also returns to the side, while Wessly Madhevere – called in as a last-minute replacement for Ervine against Ireland – retains his place. Nicholas Welch, who scored 90 on debut against Ireland, has been called up, with uncapped leg-spinner Vincent Masekesa being the only fresh face.
