India international Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded only four runs in his four overs during the Uttar Pradesh T20 tournament today (September 6).
Bhuvneshwar, the highest wicket-taker among seamers for India in T20 Internationals, last represented the country in the format in November 2022. He, however, continues to impress in various T20 leagues, producing moments of “vintage Bhuvi” from time to time.
On Friday, he was at his absolute best for his team Lucknow Falcons in the UPT20 tournament. Playing against Kashi Rudras, Bhuvneshwar opened the bowling and gave away only two runs in his first two overs.
From the other end, Abhinandan Singh gave away 18 runs in his first 12 deliveries, allowing the batters to release the pressure his teammate had managed to build.

Skipper Priyam Garg decided to bowl out the veteran, who did not disappoint, conceding two more runs in his next two overs, one of which was a maiden. Courtesy of his spell, Kashi Rudras only made 23 runs in the powerplay and were eventually all out for 111.
Overall, Bhuvneshwar has picked up 299 T20 wickets at an economy rate of 7.30. He is the fifth-most economical pacer in the history of T20 cricket among bowlers who have taken at least 250 wickets.
