Harry Brook on Wisden 2025 Almanack cover

Harry Brook will feature on the cover of the 2025 edition of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.

One of the brightest young talents in world cricket, Brook was honoured by the Almanack for his exceptional cross-format run in 2024. He amassed 1,100 Test runs at 55.00, including 317 at Multan, the first Test triple hundred for England in Asia, and the first anywhere since Graham Gooch's 333 against India in 1990. He also notched 312 ODI runs at 78.00 (at a strike rate of 128), along with 163 T20I runs at 54.33 (strike rate 151).

“Harry Brook was one of the stars of 2024, scoring England’s first triple-century for 34 years, against Pakistan in Multan, and sealing their first series victory in New Zealand for 16 years, with scores of 171 in Christchurch and 123 in Wellington – a brilliant innings that took him top of the ICC rankings,” explained Wisden Almanack editor Lawrence Booth. “We’re delighted to feature him on the cover of Wisden 2025.”

The 2025 edition, the 162nd of the almanack, features – among others – a Test farewell to James Anderson, Simon Wilde’s “examination of cricket’s deepening reliance on artificial intelligence”, recollections on Derek Underwood and Graham Thorpe by Mike Brearley and Alec Stewart, and Gideon Haigh’s writing on the India-Australia series.

The almanack will also feature the usual content: the Notes by the Editor; the prestigious Cricketers of the Year awards; reports and scorecards for every Test; comprehensive records; and more. The Cricketers of the Year will be revealed upon publication of the Almanack on April 24, 2025.
