Team selector: Pick your Pakistan T20I XI to face New Zealand
Team selector: Who should line up for Pakistan in their upcoming T20I series against New Zealand? Have your say here.
The PCB named an 18-man squad for the series on Sunday, December 12. All-format captain Babar Azam will have leg-spinning all-rounder Shadab Khan as his deputy.
The three-match series will be played on December 18, 20 and 22. Eden Park will kickstart the series before the action moves to Seddon Park and finishes in McLean Park.
Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is back in the mix for the series, as is Hussain Talat, who played the last of his 14 T20Is in February 2019.
“For the T20Is, we have retained the squad that has been playing together for some time,” said head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq. “The squad comprises young, talented and high-performing players, who are determined and eager to make names for themselves and further cement their places in the side.”
