The men's T20 World Cup is about to enter its ninth edition, with the 2024 tournament beginning in the USA on June 1. Here are all the past winners of the tournament, as well as Players of the Tournament, leading run scorers and wicket takers.

The first edition of the T20 World Cup was in 2007, where India lifted the trophy after beating Pakistan in a thrilling final. In the seven other previously completed tournaments, Pakistan, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia have all won the title. England and West Indies are the only two sides to have won the trophy twice, West Indies claiming titles in 2012 and 2016, and England winning in 2010 and 2022.

The 2024 edition will be the second hosted by two nations, and the first time the USA hosts the tournament. Oman and the UAE are the only previous dual hosts, putting the tournament on in 2021.

Virat Kohli is the only player to have claimed the Player of the Tournament award twice, doing so in back-t0-back editions in 2014 and 2016. He was also the leading run-scorer in the 2014 edition and in the 2022 edition. Umar Gul and Wanindu Hasaranga are the only bowlers to finish at the top of the wicket-taking ranks in more than one edition. Gul did so in the first two editions of the tournament in 2007 and 2009, with Hasaranga taking the top spot in the most recent two editions in 2021 and 2022.
